The Arnold Rand Heritage Award (1993)

Sponsored by The Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers, this national award is in recognition of 'the smaller, older grocery stores with their unique qualifications that make them a part of our heritage'.
In 1993, which happened to be our 50th anniversary, it was a matter of family pride when we were presented this award at annual CFIG meetings held in Toronto.

P J Gardiner 'Entrepreneurs of The Year Award' (2001)

Second and third generation Belbin’s were delighted to be together to receive this award which was presented by Memorial University of Newfoundland and sponsored by the P J Gardiner Institute of Small Business Studies. In May 2001, during the Faculty of Business Administration’s annual Partners Dinner, Robert Belbin was delighted to receive the award on behalf of his partners as well as their fathers who were also on hand for the ceremony.

CFIG, Award of Merit (2002)

In October 2002, Chris Belbin (& wife Elizabeth) attended the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers Annual Awards Dinner in Toronto. It was during this Dinner that Belbin's Grocery was once again honored by the CFIF. In recognition of Belbin's 'ongoing pursuit of excellence', Chris was presented with the 2002 Award of Merit.
